As a former resident I was proud to see how the city had grown during the Democratic National Convention. The city came off as progressive and a fun place to live. Don't be shocked if the number of people inquiring about moving there increases.

I hope you are right - especially if they are relocating a business that will bring more jobs! I hope the national exposure could result in exactly that.

Glad you felt good about being back here.

All that glitters is not gold". Please believe. On a personal level, I really like Charlotte like "this" full of different types of people and dignataries.....instead of the boring old Charlotte the way we know it full of white collar stuffy bankers and the sidewalks rolling up during the week.....The city actually reeked of excitement.... As the old saying goes....all good things must come to an end....

By the way...I can call my fellow bankers "stuffy" as Im one myself...but im of the minority.....hardly conservative.

I think what he was trying to say was, let's wait and see. People will remember the election, the debates, the campaigning. Not the location of the convention. Time will tell if there's any real impact. That's said, job's should be the focus.

Well, the city did look good "during" the convention.

They did everything you and I can do... I enjoyed myself just as much as every other time... They went to the white water center, museums, etc.

I can live without legacy village and the google building... We will soon be getting Romare & BB&T ball park. I mean... As Foxx says, he is glad people got to see they city the way he does... We have over 750,000 people in CLT.... 30,000 people can't make any bigger of difference than 750,000...

If I had the money... I'd be riding bikes, white water center, museums, plays, Carowinds, bars, bobcats/panthers/checkers/UNCC games, all the festIvals, own a jet ski and boat on lake Norman, swim at the pools, etc etc I just work to death paying off debt at the moment.
