Hey, My 17year old brother refuses to stay a hotel, because he was offered drugs the last time we were there. Hopefully it was an isolated incident only to the area where we stayed. non-smokers/non drinkers

Stay at the Sleep Inn which is 3 miles from the Speedway. We always stay at a Sleep Inn when we travel. Something tells me the place ya'll stayed in last time had alot to be desired. I think you can get a nice, safe, private room for $100-125 a night. Tell your brother he needs to get over the drug incident! I dont see strangers letting you stay in there homes for a night....

Stay in Pineville or Fort Mill near the Carolina Place mall and take the shuttle to the track. The shuttles get prioriy entering and leaving.

wow!! there are shuttles that go to Lowe's Motor Speedway?? I live in Texas and have been to the Texas Motor Speedway and the only bad thing about the race is the traffic. I would love to go and stay with friends that I have in the area, but can't because of the traffic. I am headed ya'lls way in January and look forwad to my first race there next year, and am even more excited to know that I won't have to fight traffic.

The shuttles are definitely the way to go - the police even move them thru quicker than regular traffic

Yes, they started doing the shuttles a couple of years ago. Lowe's Motor Speedway | Visitor's Guide | Shuttles/Trams (http://lowesmotorspeedway.com/visitors%5Fguide/trams/ - broken link)

They also run from Northlake Mall which is a little closer.
