Dan Savage ; Savage U (Charlotte, Raleigh: university, live, mall)

Any fans of Creative Loafing? I saw an ad on MTV (in between ALL the MUSIC Videos) featuring "Savage U. A show geared toward college students with questions on sex, dating and relationships.

I know Dan Savage is not just a sex-advice columnist here in Charlotte for CL, but, thought for Charlotte, we still have a connection and could show some Charlotte love.

C'mon, you know you "skim" through his column in CL . Go Dan.

Dan is awesome.

I remember when I lived in Raleigh he had a show on cable access TV called Dan Savage and the Sex Kittens...

Don't **** Dan off though, you'd hate to be on the wrong end of a "google problem". Just ask Santorum about that lol!

Looks like a good format for him - I've seen youtube videos of some college events he's done, and he really connects with the kids.

Love his sex-positive message! I don't just "skim through" his column, I have his Savage Love page bookmarked, and I've suggested it to my oldest son.

I didn't see a list of the campuses he visited... that would probably affect the timbre of the questions!

I lived in Cary in the early 90's. He was a bit of a loser but his show was hilarious. He got in the local paper and he stated he judged his popularity by cruising Crabtree Valley Mall to see how many people recognized him. I recall he lived with his parents at the time and he had to be at least late 20's - early 30's.
