The winter that wasn't will at least have a trace of snow possibly. Accumulation very unlikely but the way this winter has gone I'm surprised to see anything at all.

As a old saying 'It will be dandruff of the Angels', It probably will not hit til we all are sleeping but no matter if it was flurries or heavier the ground is to warm for it to stick. Becareful of black ice Monday morning though.

Very true but I noticed the first year I was here we had a very warm winter and the pest population was plentiful that spring and summer. The last 2 years not so much. A nice 3 or 4 day freeze does wonders for pest control.

I am still waiting for the ice storm in late Feb or March that seems to often accompany a warm winter here. Not that I WANT an ice storm! Just wondering if it will follow the pattern of years past . . .

I've been thinking the same thing, Ani. Of course, the ild winter means the lake warms up a little sooner. I would LOVE to be out riding the jetskis in mid-March instead of mid-April.

Which will in turn leads to a water temp in the mid 90's by August..always a pleasure to dip your feet into for some cooling relief from the mid summer yellow ball of pain...NOT

Oh, that would be nice, Spanky! I have Spring fever . . . wanna start planting stuff and get a head start on the landscaping projects.

I bet pollen will be nasty this year, unless we have a late freeze. All the more reason to spend Spring on the lake.

Ill be glad to finally see it snow.

Seriously, even during a "bad winter" here, we get one snow storm that may drop 4-6 inches of snow and it melts away within 24-48 hrs.

I hate to hear forecasters act like snow is the worst thing. Of all the weather storms we get here, snow is probably the least of our worries. And here comes spring, so if the warm and active weather pattern continues we will be dealing with severe storms and tornadoes before long.

I mean from late April to September we deal with heat and humidity, sometimes where you dont even to walk outdoors. Why is a little snow for one or two days out of the entire year so bad?

SNOW!!!

SNOW!!!

Exactly....finally a voice of reason down here

Tonight: Rain and snow before 3am, then a slight chance of snow between 3am and 4am. Low around 30. North wind between 6 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Roads may be a little slick in some spots.
