The accident on I 85 between Exit 8 & Dixon School Road involved disaster relief trucks. I talked to a woman who had wrecked her car driving into a ditch to avoid it. I heard that one or two people died.

When I finally got home I checked online to see who had it, because I could see a chopper making multiple passes of I 85. I called & gave them a piece of information to check out. I saw a convoy of the disaster relief trailers & got the name of the company that was on the trucks that were pulling the trailers. They'll have to check it out tomorrow during business hours.

I noticed that they have the location wrong. The accident was not at Exit 10, it was between Exits 8 & Exit 5.

I heard about the accident on my way home yesterday and I was expecting long delays...luckily, I get off on exit 22 and it was not backed that far up.

So sad to hear about any kind of accidents..much more when it includes fatalities! Prayers also to the affected families.

I was sitting in the backup. I got on at Exit 10 & it took 2 hours to get to Exit 8. Oddly enough, while I was sitting there, going nowhere fast, a TNJ bus went whizzing past, northbound. They need to extend the 3 lanes, at least to Dixon School Road, if not to the state line.

The woman who I was talking to said that they removed someone on a stretcher, but he looked dead to her. When I finally got to the truckstop, the ladies there said that they had heard that 1 or 2 people had died, & they knew that it was a 10 vehicle pile-up involving the disaster relief trailers & that one of the trailers broke up.
