Recommend:
The Marquis on hwy 51 between Carmel Rd and Elm St.
Westbury Woods (Camden) off Baybrook/Hwy 51.
Reafield apts and Fishers Pond Rd apts both off Baybrook on hwy 51 between Carmel and Elm.
If you go closer to Ballantyne it'll get pricey and is just as safe.
Avoid:
Sabal Point on Lancaster Hwy
Meadow Creek off Lancaster Hwy
The Pines off Lancaster Hwy
Willow Ridge on Park Rd by the Park Rd Medical Plaza/Hospital
Any apartments on Sharon Rd W/Sharon Lakes
There might be a couple of more but i cant remember right now. I've been delivering pizza in south Charlotte for 3 years until 1 am and have been to every complex in the area so i know where i can leave my car running at 12am while i go to the door and where not to. Also the people walking around if they look sketchy etc... hope this helps.
