Good article on the need for the center. For those of you who don't know, it will be located across from CAMC Memorial Hospital in Kanawha City on the site of the old ballpark. Construction will start in January.

CAMC Adding three more floors onto the surgury wing of Memorial Hospital. The plan did call for one story to be added over the ER unit, but that changed when they learned the ER unit couldn't support another floor above it. The new construction will add 46 beds on one floor, storage on another, and the last fllor will remain empty until a need comes about.
This is going to be a great addition to Kanawha city as a whole

with two major hospital construction projects, plus one that just finished up, means more traffic flowing into that community for heathcare. Also more good paying jobs, more construction crews generating economic activity, and last but not least more people shopping and dining in Kanawha City. Now if they'd only hurry up and build these things
