Any news in the area of development is good news, but the thing I get from this is the basically non labor intensive nature of chemical plants. 100 employees, for an operation of that size? That alone is not going to have a major impact on employment in the Charleston region.

Well that is true, but its also a sign that Dow/Bayer plan on staying here for years to come. The operations they do anyway are so advanced that the labor is not as important as the skills that comes with it!

Bayer is an outstanding employer, being run by a WVU grad. I'm sure they will be a benifit to the community.

They have for the last several decades! Bayer is a German company, but it might as well be a WV one because of the local influence in its upper circles!

I thought i saw a Bayer one evening while out walking on a hiking trail. It was roundish, and had a black coat. It sort of gallopped away when it noticed me.
