Hello, everyone!

I will be graduating from college in June and looking for a job as a medical technologist/clinical lab scientist. I absolutely adore Savannah, but unfortunately there are no law schools nearby for my husband to attend.

Would you recommend Charleston to me? I have never been and cannot visit at this time. However, I am about to apply for jobs and am considering the area. I really just want to move someplace warm, near the ocean, with some good seafood, Spanish moss, and Southern charm.

Can you tell me about areas where living by the beach is more affordable? I will be looking for an apartment when I first move.

Any advice appreciated! Thanks!

Has he been accepted to any law school yet? Wouldn't that determine where you go?

Get him accepted first, if you're actually going to follow him there and look for a job. I'd recommend the converse though. Find yourself a job in a great location, and visit him on the weekends. His available time is going to go bye-bye as a 1L anyway.

Charleston is very similar to Savannah in charm and history. Architecture is similar as well. If you like Savannah you will love Charleston. Good luck to you and your husband.
