Hello,
My family and I are planning to move to Summerville within the month. I really like the areas of Pine Forest and Legend Oaks. Can anyone tell me which country club is nicer. We have chldren and I was wondering what development is better for children. Thank you.

I think Pine Forest looks nicer, personally. It's a matter of personal opinion, of course. As to neighborhoods for kids, Beech Hill is directly across the street for elementary aged kids in Legend Oaks. You could literally walk them to school.

Here's the website for each:

How's the new high school, Ashley Ridge, compared to Summerville High? Also how does Gregg Junior High compare to Dubose?

Ashley Ridge has only been open for two years not a real comparison just yet, Dubose and Gregg are about the same...

Thank you, I see that Pine Forest has a driving range and Legend Oaks doesn't. Also Pine Forest has twice the amount of tennis courts and they all have lights. Plus Pine Forest has clay courts, I don't know what the surface is for Legend Oaks. Can you give me insight into the clubhouses of Legend Oaks and Pine Forest. Thank you.

Ashley Ridge will be fully populated next year. They are also expanding the building to accommodate the anticipated increased population. Summerville is the largest high school -in terms of population - in the state.

Gregg is just a little ahead of Dubose as it relates to school achievement. However, both are good schools.

Legend Oaks is made up of 4 sections. As as been mentioned, Beech Hill Elementary is within walking distance of most homes in Legend Oaks. There is one section adjacent to the school that has a walking trail directly to it.

There is a sheriff and crossing guard there every morning directing traffic and letting the walkers and bike riders cross the street. And the sheriff is dead serious about not letting cars speed through the area.

Momof8,
Here is a
video of Legend Oaks I recorded a few months ago. I apologize I don't have one of Pine Forest yet.
Sincerely,
Foster Smith
