Hello all,
I have some frequent flier points that expire soon so I'm taking a quick trip (long weekend) to Charleston, I found a great hotel in North Charleston,
How easy is it to get downtown? would you suggest renting a car or is uber/cab enough?

TIA

Eliza

ps. throw in some restaurant recommendations if you don't mind.

Uber should be fine for a short weekend trip. Which Hotel in North Chas ?? Most have shuttles to the airport.

April and May can bring beautiful weather around here -- before Mr Humidity steps in. Try not to come down during the Spoleto Festival, when our Little Big Town is over-run with touristas !!

As far as Restaurants.....you just have to pick a major food group and you'll get recs for a half dozens good places.

Seafood ??
BBQ ??

Depends on where in N Charleston and what time of day but generally it's not too difficult to get into Downtown Charleston. If you want to be more mobile, then renting a car is a good idea but it you're just going downtown and staying there, you could uber (Lyft might be cheaper) around. I'd suggest a car if you want to visit some plantations and the like.

All the restaurant recommendations you could ask for right here:

You'll need to rent a car. It's an easy drive, but it's a drive.
Not sure I would describe that hotel as 'great'. Be careful late night.
