We are planning to move to the charleston area in a year. Will most likely end up in Summerville, James Island or Mt. Pleasant. My 10 yr old son has been playing dek hockey since he has been 3 yrs old and is very good at it. He plays on leagues throughout the yr here in pa. Are there any dek, field, or floor hockey leagues in the charleston area? I have searched and searched the Internet but cannot find any information on specifics. I can't believe that Charleston would only have ice hockey as an option for youth. Any information is appreciated.

You are so welcome. I hope it works out. When we moved from Toronto Canada to Atlanta, my then 7 year old was so worried about playing his beloved hockey and lacrosse. Hockey was okay but the lacrosse couldn't happen for him until Middle School. It was tough. A move for a kid is a big deal and to lose their hobbies/sports/interests is a tough thing.
This helped a lot. I feel better now. I love that he's so into hockey. Keeps him out of trouble, away from the TV and gives him something good and positive to focus on. Thanks again.
