Our family is relocating to Summerville in July from Phoenix, AZ. Big move, but very excited! We are trying to secure a rental home in Summerville and have some questions about some of the neighborhoods. With 2 young children, we are looking for a safe, family friendly neighborhood (with some community amenities like a pool) . We found one we really like in Pine Forest Country Club, but would love any feedback as to that area? Any other suggestions of good neighborhoods to look in that are in the Dorchester II school district would be great!

Thanks for your help!

Buy or rent? Price range?

I love Phoenix! We've vacationed there a few times

Lots of rentals in Wescott Plantation if Pine Forest Country Club doesn't work out.

I just moved here from Las Vegas! I always think of Phoenix and Vegas as pretty similar in many ways. Welcome! We just moved to Wescott Plantation and we love it. Lots of rentals but they get snatched up pretty quick! The area I live in has a beautiful pond with ducks and geese and lots of kids running around. My stepson has already made friends. It's very quiet at night, so different from Vegas. There is everything from town homes to big homes that are 4 bedrooms. We live in a 3 bedroom townhouse. So that's my 2 cents on this part of Summerville.

Oh and I meant to say... Couple great amenity centers here with pools, clubhouses, playgrounds. Went to the pool last Sunday, was quite nice.

Thank you so much for the replies! I'm really hoping the one we are applying for in Pine Forest works out...it does look beautiful! With all the amenities, I'm assuming we have to pay the country club dues to access the pool on that? Westcott Plantation has several as well we are interested in so that is good to know too, just in case.
