I don't know about 4G, but we live out that way and have a very strong signal on our verizon cellphones. My husband lives on his Blackberry, and he never drops calls out here.
Ditto to roxanne and beach above. We switched from AT&T to Verizon in March. (Our Verizon phones are 3G.) We would get tons of dropped calls here with AT&T....haven't had a single one since switching to Verizon.
Did a little checking, and right now 4G is available in Columbia and Hilton Head, and will roll out in Charleston "very soon". According to Verizon they are currently ahead of schedule in this area, so I wouldn't be surprised if they beat you here.
I've lived in South Carolina all my life and I've never ever heard of Charleston referred to as Chucktown. I'm sure that makes Joe Riley proud.
I'll make it a point to never refer to it as that again.
First I heard of it was on here!

Just got it in Greenville yesterday. SC is almost a month ahead of schedule. Anyone have an update in the low country? My wife and I are moving to "Jim isle" next month.
