Send a text message from internet? (google, cell phone, code, messages)

Can you send an international text message to a cell phone from the internet?

My daughter is stationed in Korea and she has a cell phone over there. I can send 'domestic' texts thru my yahoo! mail...but that's just in the states.

I did a search for 'international text korea' and got the following response from the Wiki at Answers.com

As long as you can send/receive international messages, it's possible to send a sms/text message to a korean cell phone. Usually this can be done by using 011-82-XX-and the rest of the number. XX = 10 for 010 cell phones, 11 for 011 cell phones, 16 for 016, and so forth. 011 can be sometimes omitted, as it's just a code for international. 82 is the country code for South Korea.

Thanks, I got that too when I googled.
But it won't go thru on the yahoo! mail text message thing... and I tried to send it on another site that you can send text messages thru....but it's domestic as well.

Just hoping someone here at city-data in the cell phone techie threads knew how to do this.
