I was looking into the Walmart family mobile plan that works on TMobile. It would save us some money since we already have T Mobile phones (4 of them) on our current plan. But I found the plan to be retarded. Here is why:
Walmart tells you that you can port your phone number to them and you can. But the catch is that the phones ALL have to have the EXACT same area code. Other phone companies including T Mobile only state that you have to have the area code for the local area you are in. And they often assign different area codes to phones in the same family plan. Especially when you have 10 different local area codes like we do here. So I have 2 phones that are on 310 and 2 that are on 424. But Walmart insist that all 4 lines have the exact same area codes meanning that 2 of us will have to part with our phone numbers to join that plan. I just think that is stupid as the day is long.
