Wishing all the cat dads out there a very happy Cater's Day. Many gifted mice, early mornings, late nights shall be in your future. And you love every one of your whiskered dictators! Thank you for taking good care of them!
SO handled first breakfast, a hair ball including washing a rug and a hissy fit before bringing Sunday coffee to bed at a catly hour Thank you! He got some Izzi&Bizzi floof to make him sneeze and a reprimand from ChaCha for dilly dallying.
Cat dads are very special! Please give them a standing ovation!
A special hello goes out to catdad7x, who after all is recently bereft of a cat friend.
And how about dad cats? Most of the time they mate and move right along, leaving all the dirty work to the mom cat. But I experienced an exception to that rule. Not too long after Seteria was - finally - TNR'd, I happened to look out onto my back porch only to find THREE cats there. Blaliko and Seteria were lying contentedly there alongside a feline for whom Seteria was a dead ringer, gray "mask" + "saddle" + tail with the rest white, pink nose, the whole nine yards. No one can convince me that third cat wasn't her father paying a visit. I only saw him (presumably) once after that as he strolled down the sidewalk looking, unfortunately, very sick. Anyway, a Happy "Cater's" Day goes out to dad cats also, and I'll take a bow as a dedicated cat dad.

Thanks Goyguy, but as you said, Fathers Day honors should go to Feline fathers too. My girl Sheba, along with 4 others, was born inside my workplace shop to a friendly Mom cat that I was feeding at the time. My actual shop cat Tiger wasn't fixed (my fault) and was one of the litters 2 daddies. Mom cat would not let him close to the kittens the 6 weeks they were in my shop, and he kept his distance. But he stayed in the shop and kept all the other strays & ferals out. He was clearly protecting the kittens, because before that he didn't care who came in the shop as long as they stayed out of his space. He was a good Dad, and I still miss that little guy.
