Well, Kara does love the wrapping paper.....sort of.

That is, when I am cutting the pictures away from their sheets to tape them in my diary, she is there to help me along every step of the way.

All these stories about trees and decorations, etc, being destroyed make me grateful that I'm Jewish... although, I have had a few cats burn their whiskers on the menorah! Now I always put it somewhere they can't reach, and/or watch closely until it burns out.

Kitty shenanigans & disasters can happen to anyone, regardless of differences we may have. They are equal opportunity mischief makers.

And they are generally successful ones. Strangely the real feathers of the tail,of a bird ornament within easy reach are being ignored. Izzi is only interested in airplanes. What are her aspirations - "Coffee, Tea or Me"? We had costly endeavors and they were induced by humans. Uninvited house guest who showed up with family. barricaded the doors to the media room and ran a white noise something which woke me up in the middle of the night. "I am terrified of cats, cannot be around them". The what are you doing here. We offered a Holiday Inn. ShadowCat took a brand new white leather chair down to the wood the next morning. The media room was her place.

Perhaps Izzi knows what SO does for a living, and is trying to impress him.

Totally OT - imagine her strutting down the aisle pushing a cart while swooshing Bizzi.

SO will follow your recommendation and check WalMart for catnip infused brown paper bags. For the furries not for him!

Look for this label:

These were an early Christmas present for my girls. They are brown paper sacks with a coating of mild catnip on the inside. There's 2 sacks in a package, and as I recall were around $2 to $3. I was skeptical about them, but both my cats loved them. Sheba smashed hers flat and is spending a lot of her time sleeping on it. Actually not bad for a couple of bucks.

Sheba doesn't generally crawl into things, but the catnip in the sack did the trick.

That sounds like a nightmare where people don't realize just how into cats (or something else) one really is.

As that my cats are breathing life, there would be (and have been) some very firm NOs to humans that want to enter my house. I would be panic stricken if any got outside in the country......and in fact, one held me hostage this morning because she wouldn't come in from the garage.

No children because children don't understand cats and in the end, someone is going to get bitten and that will be the end of my cat. Even with adults, however, it is still a battle..

I suppose a saving grace is that the media here is very limited. I had an interesting conversation earlier this week with a friend who wanted to make my place a Golden Girls. Cats?

It is just the way things worked out here in the country, it wasn't designed or planned that way BUT.....it seems like a nice arrangement to me.
