Hi there! I have a cat that whenever I let him out of the room, he goes straight for a plant on the table and starts eating it. What's up with that?

I love plants, but I gave up on houseplants years ago.

I have had them eaten, pooped on, and peed on. Cats just love messing with them.

I grow that on the porch, one of them loves to munch it and puke it. I wouldn’t think it would grow as well indoors.

Cats love to nibble on green plants however many are poisonous to them.

You can buy the kitty grass at a pet store, water it and watch it grow...

Move your houseplants to a location she cannot reach.

You can buy "cat grass" seeds at many pet stores (it's oat grass, which lasts about two weeks).

What kind of plants is your cat eating? Some are not safe for kitties to eat.

Whatever the plant is, they look kind of like big green Eucalyptus or Mint leaves. I don't know exactly what kind, just long viney broad green leaves.

We usually pull him off it right away, but they must taste really good because he wastes no time going right for them!

*This is the one that pukes up the wet food pretty much about 5 minutes after eating it. Sometimes, the other cats come and finish up the puke. Sometimes they don't

Better than the curtains and the blankets on the bed, which is what my son's cat likes to chew on.
