Got one of those dang id cans of food for him to try....intestinal diet. So far he won't look at it.

Thanks for checking on him....he's sweet, loves people.

Did the ultrasound show any blockage in the intestines? or does an u/s now show that. I do know that an intestinal xray would show a blockage because my late kitty had those once in awhile. The 'cure' for that, for her, was a 1/8 tsp. of MiraLax diluted in a bit of warm water in her food, and worked like a charm. Hope the little sweetie gets over this tummy issue soon.

They did a mini ultrasound, she said she saw a little intestinal "something", not a blockage....she said could be bowel disease of even pancreatitis....if he doesn't eat and drink, we'll have to do a full ultrasound

He still has not eaten since we got home.....

Thanks

Did you mention anything in his throat area? Is he walking okay...no reason to think his balance is off making him nauseated? Is he acting differently? Is his water from a system that added something different lately?

Physical exam was fine...nothing with throat. Walking ok but very lethargic.
Same water. Yes, acting depressed, not playful, sleeps a lot, doesn't eat or drink since home from vet.

Thanks for your concern, p&g.

Call in the morning and tell the vet he won't eat the food he gave you. Have you offered him something irresistible? Does he ever have hairballs?

It sounds like the exact symptoms my cat had before he was diagnosed with pancreatitis. It almost killed him. I’d take him back and have him rechecked for that. It’s extremely painful.

We had one that lived 8 more years after his diagnosis with pancreatitis which he got when he was 8. He would have what we called "bouts" of it. More ill the first bout. Then 3 or 4 times in the next 8 years. He would be like yours, lay down, not eat and I'd take him to the nearby vet. It took a while each time and he got better.

That's about where we are in diagnosis....if he doesn't eat he'll go back for more testing
