I have 2 male cats and think one or the other might have a UTI. Or both.

The only signs I've seen is a tiny drop of blood here and there that's not from another injury etc and a terrible, worse than usual, urine odor from cat boxes. Unless the crystals change the odor in some way.

Otherwise of course they act perfectly fine. I try to watch them peeing but can't tell anything.

Your opinion?? I'm thinking I'll have to leave them both at the vet to get a urine specimen...

I agree. Probably have to test both of them if you can't id the problem one. Don't wait.

Are there any 25 hour vets near you? I'm a bit fortunate to have one near me.

It's an hour away....that's what I get for living in the boonies

Will make an appt for Tues and take them to ER vet beforehand if needed....right now they both are eating, peeing, playing and happy....not listless, not peeing outside box or straining....

I'll watch closely, been through the blockage thing before....

See if you can get them to your reg. vet either tomorrow or Sat. a.m. There should be some open then. Hope it works out well this weekend at some point. ER vets are ridiculously expensive on regular days, nevermind a holiday weekend. Oy !

I'm going to try....but doubt it will work. I can't remember if they are open Saturdays, will check.

I'd rather have them with me than staying several nights there....

You should be able to drop them off in the morning, and pick them up after work. They will charge you for the cystocentesis for each cat and a day's "board".

Being males, I wouldn't want to risk waiting. Males can block very suddenly, and the this will cause agonizing pain, and death within 24 hours. I don't mean to sound dramatic, but..it is a risk.

They are on a wet diet?
