The comment wasn't made to the owner's of the cat. It was made here to make a point that if you allow your cats to roam freely, these horrible things can and do happen every day of the year. It's highly unlikely the cat's owner reads this forum.

I have to agree with kitty, although it doesn't make this person's actions any less reprehensible.
There are many dangers for a free roaming cat. One of them is that there are a lot of cat haters out there, more so than nuts who would kill someone's pet because of their political views.
