I'm a 23 year-old female, college student with good academic standing. Nothing on my record, not even a speeding ticket. I have a 2013 Toyota Corolla LE, I asked for a quote for full-coverage with a deductible of $1,000 and was given the quote of $591/6 months - so $98.50/month with Geico.
Is this fair? Should I look elsewhere? Thanks!
Get a quote from multiple companies. That's the only way to know. Too many factors go into a premium to just ask generically without even telling us where you are located or what limits you want, etc, etc, etc.

Sounds fair to me for full coverage. Your rate is determined primarily on age, driving record, zip code area, credit rating.
waut do you mean by "full coverage"? What are the policy limits?
An excellent question.
I am amazed at the number of people who call a policy with 20,/000 per person liability coverage "full coverage". All that term means is the policy complies with the bare minimum that state law requires. Twenty thousand dollars does not begin to compensate for serious injuries and wrongful deaths caused in automobile accidents.
I understand that purchasing car insurance can be a real challenge for young drivers. However, let's at least be honest about the product being purchased.
My advice to this poster is find an independent insurance agent that represents multiple companies and sells multiple lines of insurance. Let him/her help her select the best insurance value out there.
Considering your age and so called " full " coverage it appears to be a good quote.
Most people refer to full cov as having comp and collision.
Premiums are influenced by inside or outside city limits/ credit score, miles driven, type of car, etc. additional cov besides the mandatories. Some companies charge for Not at Fault Accidents ...
Just check with other companies using same criteria.

That's a decent price for your age. Unfortunately your rates will be high until you're at least 25 and then will continue to go down from there. It doesn't hurt to get quotes from other carriers, but make sure they are A+ rated, reputable companies! Geico is actually one of the largest carriers. I believe they are still the 3rd largest as they are owned by Berkshire Hathaway.
BTW, your liability limits should not be any lower than 100/300! Anything less is just crap coverage!

I would say that is an unbelievable rate for a 23 year old female driver. You are right that liability limits should not be lower than 100/300. I do have a sneaky suspicion the OP chose the lowest liability the state allows to get that rate.
