I was thinking about going to Banff Alberta at the end of this month. I am 20 years old and I wanted to know if I would still have luck going to Banff and find a job when I get there (end of june/ beginning of july). I have applied over the internet and have not received any responses.

Are there still jobs available at this time for temporary work (i only want to stay till end of august)
Is it still fun if I travel by myself?

Any experiences or advice is greatly appreciated

You may want to look into it. You actually can't live in Banff unless you own a business there, or are an employee in Banff. The vast majority of people live in Canmore and commute in. How's your Japanese?

It's a great place to work for a summer, just remember it is the STD capital of Canada.

Banff is a great place to spend the summer (or any time of year), but there is a shortage of housing, so many people work in Banff and live in Canmore. It is a 15 minute drive from Canmore to the Banff townsite, or a half an hour bike ride. Take Bear spray with you if you take the bike trail. You can find an apartment to rent in Canmore at: Canmore Apartments & Houses for Rent | RentCalgary.com

Have a great summer.

Calgary is about an hour and 15 minutes from Banff. With the economy the way it is this year, there are many Calgarians looking for work and the service jobs in Banff are not as plentiful as they were in 2008. If you can find work and a place to stay though Banff if a great place to live.
