“Freedom has its life in the hearts, the actions, the spirit of men and so it must be daily earned and refreshed – else like a flower cut from its life-giving roots, it will wither and die” — Dwight D. Eisenhower
on the other hand, less than 2% of Americans know which day is Canada Day.
Wow, I'm in the rare two percent of Americans! AND my wife and I were sad to leave British Columbia on Canada day this past Monday, after a whole week in Canada! Our favorite memories:
wonderful scenery
great hot springs
seeing all those bears! Wow!
poutines!
Whistle Dogs at A & W
Tim Horton's coffee
real diversity of cultures
lakes the color of turquoise
six-dollar-a-gallon gasoline (how did THAT get on the list?!!? )
But seriously, Happy Belated Canada Day. And Happy Birthday to America!!!!!
