Better for what? Better in what way? Weather-wise? For jobs? For things to do? For ... what exactly are you looking to do?

Don't know about work, but the setting of Whitehorse is probably nicer.

Milder and/or drier, surrounded by mountains, perhaps a river and/or lake nearby.

Yellowknife is on the north end of a giant lake. The lake probably helps delay the spring warmup the Great Lakes do for us.

Anyone else?
