The new American Lung Association State of the Air ranking report is being released Wednesday.

But some websites are posting info tonight.
Bakersfield No. 1 in fine-particle pollution - Los Angeles Times

The LA Times reports the worse metropolitan areas for year-round particulate pollution in 2008:
#1 Bakersfield/Kern County
#2 Pittsburgh/New Castle, PA
#3 Los Angeles/Long Beach metropolitan area

For worse ozone pollution in 2008:
#1 Los Angeles/Long Beach metropolitan area (San Bernardino County was worse county in the region).
