Actually home prices are at their lowest in years. As a result home sales are through the roof everywhere in CA. Obviously the foreclosure mess is an issue but nowadays home prices are not.

Check out the numbers from the Bureau of Labor Statistics:Local Area Unemployment Statistics Home Page

The Local Area Unemployment Statistics (LAUS) program produces monthly and annual employment, unemployment, and labor force data for Census regions and divisions, States, counties, metropolitan areas, and many cities, by place of residence.

"Lowest home prices in years" doesn't mean crap when they've been horribly unaffordable for years. So instead of a house costing 10x my annual income, now its only 6x. Geez, I'll take two. Let me know when prices are actually in line with incomes. And not CEO and surgeon incomes either.

Whether they are in line with incomes or not, the fact is, home sales have skyrocketed in every region of CA due to prices falling drastically.

I dont know why that's upsetting you?

I am so surprised that Stockton is on many of the lists. Seems salaries would be much lower. Go Stockton

It's interesting that the list of jobs consists of mostly very lucrative positions and many are places where it is still quite unaffordable to live (and please don't mention the housing crash again. Yes, we know). What about a list of the Top 10 cities with best Income/Cost of Living ratio? Now that would be something to read....
