Humm, maybe a lot of people would take the pay increase and give up the medical and that would just increase the cost. Plus businesses could drop coverage and let the employees be on the State plan.

no state however libertarian would drop the requirement that employers would shoulder part of the cost of health insurance

All industrialized nations have universal healthcare . ..Why not California forgot about the rest of the U.S they are still stubborn and are used to gouge people especially the current administration.

The times has come in the far future almost the jobs is going to be automated.

Healthy society = productive society , people will able to work efficiently and put the money back into the economy by spending more.

For any single payer plan to work, everyone has to be in the risk pool. It's a given that employers will asked to hand over the money they are now paying for their employees' health insurance to the state.

There are some unanswered questions such as: What is the real and final cost of this program? Can hard working Californians even afford to pay for the roughly 3 million illegal aliens' and many others? How much of the health care money will be stolen to pay for public employee benefits and pension?

First all they are undocumented immigrants !
2nd of all they are already paying taxes therefore it make sense for them to benefit as well since they are already paying taxes .

Default Universal care

Universal health care becomes a real possibility in the Golden State - by alix-rosenthal - The San Francisco Examiner

California lawmakers introduce single-payer health care plan today

As usual California being a progressive State is debating to provide universal healthcare for all . Senate Bill 562’s

After the Congress got rid of affordable health care and millions might lose health care coverage due to their anti social care policy.

Yes, I am aware we are going to pay more taxes but the bottom line is we are already paying more taxes in CA and not getting decent health care coverage from the greedy insurance providers or worse those people working part time no healthcare for them .
