What are some really good technical schools in Cali? I'm looking for one with engineering majors or something related such as architecture.

Well, obviously, I'm partial to Cal Poly SLO. One of the nation's best engineering and architecture schools, and way cheaper than most previously mentioned. Also, your quality of life here will almost assuredly be better. The B.Arch degree is a professional degree, so no need to go for a masters in order to be a professional architect. The downside is that the architecture program is insanely hard to get into if a freshman. I would recommend doing community college first to get your GE out of the way and have a better chance of admitance. Can't say as much for the engineering programs, since I wasn't in their College.
