that's probably because your options are wonky...like, palm springs vs malibu? who in their right mind would pick palm springs? and i don't even know the other options.

Agree. And Hidden Hills? Less than 2,000 people live there!

Malibu, by far. Great views and weather. Only drawback is the commute in. But, most folks in Malibu probably are so rich, they don't need to work!

I am the only vote for Los Feliz. I grew up not too far from Malibu. Too cold, foggy and remote for me.

Granted if I won the lottery I'd have nothing against having a second (or third) home on Pt Dume overlooking the ocean. I have Malibu Colony. I'd never live there.

I have actually been inside Hidden Hills (a gated community on the edge of the SFV). Gets really hot in summer (next to Woodland Hills). A very beautiful community with horse trails and tree-lined streets.

A good friend's parents have lived there for years. Back in the 1970's or 1980's it was more or less a nice "upper-middle" class area with a few big estates. More and more it is an enclave for the uber-wealthy or celebrity types looking for peace and quiet. My buddy's folks live in one of the "old school" california ranch homes (approx. 3,000 sq ft). These days that is a tear down.

Back in the day Marvin Gaye had a place there. But he was one of the very few big time entertainers who lived there back then.

I picked Los Feliz because I like its location and the fact that it is inside the City. I used to live in west hollywood, but dislike it now for its sterile hipster/yuppie feel- it's no longer the gay mecca enclave that it once was. Palm Springs when I'm a little older would be perfect.
