Probably not as much of a worry as the levels of mercury accruing in big Pacific Ocean fish. Which we're sort of used to, kind of like the threat of earthquakes.

It has been over two years. The Japanese were the most exposed - I don't see any stories of mass health issues happening there. Can't believe they could cover up something like that.

Not yet time to run:

“There’s been a lot of confusion between the levels of radiation that have been detected and levels that are harmful,” said Chad Nelsen, environmental director at the San Clemente-based Surfrider Foundation. “So far, there have been no levels that are a real concern.”

"No levels that are harmful"? Do you know why? It's because they raised the levels that are deemed harmful. What was considered harmful before Fukushima is now considered safe. Obama approved raising the levels so that the Fukushima mess would not alarm people in the US.

Yeah, sounds like a crafty Californian-hatched plan to free up some prime coastal land for the locals, taking it back after the paranoid run away in panic. Hopefully something lovely in Malibu, SB, Santa Cruz, Pacifica pops up. I'll be glad to relieve someone of their now-worthless, hopelessly "irradiated" hellhole.

Yep. A 1BR across the street from me just went on the market at $3800 a month. (Granted, it does have a dishwasher and a garage.)

That cesium-137 can't get here fast enough.
