He should start wrangling for a resident post. He'll get the small town life, sans tornadoes and bible belt mental illness. My cousin put in for one at the 4-year mark of his CHP career, and damned if he didn't get one for the Kings Canyon area, from the foothills all the way deep into the forest.

Nice gig! Nah, I think my buddy is still trying to sort all that out right now, especially after a recent divorce. Though between being part of the CHP ''family'', and splitting up with a Mormon gal where everbody knows your ''business'', he's kinda been getting maxed out lately on the ''small town'' thang!

Heck, he couldn't even tell his old school buddies about the new convertible he bought here, without getting ragged on for not buying a pickem-up like everyone else (...lol)!
Not like California needs more people. Hopefully the disgruntled bashers who are leaving enjoy where they are moving to.

The bodies of the starving elderly are already piling up like cord wood. In my neighborhood, at least!

How is cutting 45 (NOT 85, like Obama is lying about) billion out of projected growth (not current spending) going to result in all the cuts the Obamabots are screaming about?

Those who believe the gloom and doom are clearly unable to think critically.

Besides, if the situation is so dire, how come the Administration and the Congress are not taking pay cuts, and how come their staffs are not taking pay cuts, and how *** neither branch is not furloughing staff?

Get it?

Or the valley. My uncle was sent to Salinas when he joined up. Got transferred back to the Visalia CHP and lives in Exeter now close to family. Course he's from Tulare (long deep dark family story behind that.)

It's a good thing that Las Pulgas aren't close to Los Baños. Luckily, I grew up far from both of them, in Chula Vista.

Sometimes we get a whiff of Los Banos here in Fresno... Whoo-wheee.

Replaces the normal smell for a few days.

Yes, I do get it: you haven't the slightest perspective or knowledge of the subject you are commenting on.
