How they hell did that happen? Voter turnout for Obama probably made the difference for the MJ legalization measures this election cycle. The OR legalization measure failed which is odd.

I thought for sure the death penalty would be gone forever but apparently not.

dopeheads have a new shangri-la?

of course, i'd rather they overcome their addictions and live a drug free life, its very sad. but in absence of this i'd prefer some other place be their mecca.

Isn't it already pretty much legal here? Oh, you just have to pay a shady doctor a few bucks for a card. Sure, big difference.

It's like $150-200 a year, a lot of people don't want to pay that as its kind of pointless unless you don't know anyone that sells. Plus CA is losing out on a lot of potential tax revenue.

A lot of people actual have moral objections to telling a "white lie" just to get a medical marijuana card. The CO law allows individuals to grow up to 6 plants for personal consumption and give a certain amount away. The big advantage to full legalization is that the police no longer have probable cause to search a vehicle or get a search warrant for a home if they "smell" marijuana freeing them up to focus on more important law enforcement issues. It's a big win for freedom and takes a lot of money out of the hands of the criminal drug trade.

It is still illegal under federal law so the feds will still raid business that supply it. They should just make it legal on a federal level for recreational use and tax it and use the tax revenue to pay for national health care.
