Mariposa, Boonville, Point Reyes Station, Bolinas, Paso Robles, Morro Bay, Willits, Truckee, a few others that escape me at the moment... good places to start, no pun intended.

Why would people point to conservative communities, when the OP clearly stated that she wanted liberal? Just driving through Republican territory sets my teeth on edge, with their radio demagogues screeching and howling about liberals and Obama. The OP probably wants a peaceful life of working together with her fellow progressives to make the world a better place.

It's comical b/c it's so ironic. That kind of ignorance and pretentiousness all wrapped up in one in a statement saying that people who don't think like them are uneducated and ignorant. lol. Oh well.
Please correct me if i am wrong but, Honey Boo-Boo and her Mum came out for Obama in the 2012 elections. I am sure she and her family could be the perfect picture of progressives?

I've lived in some very liberal places-Boston, Missoula, Boulder and SFO, and I suppose if someone [like the OP from this post-which I know is an old thread] spent her whole life in the bay area, one might think that liberals are more educated, b/c the bay area is liberal and those who don't fit that mindset, in the surrounding area, tended to be perhaps less educated on paper in politics and lifestyle....I won't get into semantics or terminology...

But what a completely clueless sentiment or statement-especially when the most wealthy states and communities in the country [according to data] are often conservative. Obviously, it depends on where you live. TX has plenty of 'edumacated folks', plenty of folks with money and plenty of conservatives, just for an example.
.
Those kind of statements about conservatives being dumb, uneducated rednecks are repeated fairly often on CD forums. I think at least some of the people who say that stuff know better....they just enjoy slandering people who don't agree with them. They figure if a lie is repeated often enough, people will believe it.

Sure wish we could dump the tired old lib/con argument. There are all sorts of good folks on both sides, and just as many jerks as well. You won't find better folks than those in Eastern Tennessee. You'll meet lovely people in Mendocino Ca. Bottom line is kindness. Add that we are all Americans with equal rights and I think it's in our best interest to get along.

But the place I'm retiring to is a secret darnit... -L-

Ever think of yourself as a hypocrite? Get some protein in your diet and maybe you start to think a little more clearly.

That's a perfect example of what I was saying, odannyboi.

At least Bjewell gives me a bit of hope for moderate, rational thinking.

Liberals tend to be more educated and have more money....... Could've fooled me.

Why is it that liberals always bash Republicans for helping the rich? hmmm.....

A large number of those on welfare are liberals. Show me some IQ statistics on some of them. As someone who is neither or, I find anyone justifying liberals and conservatives as utter morons, thinking either one gives a rats ass about you.
