I don't consider it "my" state.
It's no more your state than it is of someone who just moved here yesterday.
No need to get testy. So, you have a different opinion, a very strong opinion. I didn't read it like that. I did not read between the lines. I could be wrong, but it seems like a lot of people here are responding to their history with the OP.

One of the founding principals of social liberalism is tolerance. So, I find it humorous that progressive liberals attack conservatives with unrelenting venom, yet fail to see the irony in it all.

IBTL.

"Humorous" that progressive liberals defend the founding principles of our nation? Really? Conservatives love to trumpet their patriotism yet are consistently the most supportive of actions limiting freedom and choice. Curious, no?

Excuse me, but I insulted no one in this thread. I was on the receiving end of the "crimes against natures" comment by the O.P.. If a few slam him back I can see it being somewhat justified by his outrageous statement.

I was simply and only responding to the rather obvious sub-text of the original post.

It's my home but others' dreaming is horning in. That is unacceptable.

Huh, that is the dream

The policies issued by utopian dreamers are another creature entirely: for them, the people of this state are mere guinea pigs in their progressivist social laboratory.

Hogwash

California is my home, not a dream. My people are here. My land is here. My history is here. How about you?

I got more land, and more history, and I think your thesis is not rational, it is ideological.

Wait, so it's the gays that are ruining California?

But I thought we did such a good job at decorating and event planning!
