hi guys im moving to modesto ca from tucson az and i was wondering what kind of work there is i dont mind driving an hour or so if i need to.. im only 19 so i'm looking for jobs like at factories or general labor,but i have about 2 yrs experience in customer service so i wouldnt mind that either its only temporary because i want to explore other cities nearby i just don't know anyone outside of modesto!... also what side of town should i stay away from??? my girlfriend has family that live on college ave she says its a nice area, but from what ive been reading modesto has changed a lot from when she lived ther(10 yrs ago) thanks!!!

I am curious why you would pick Modesto? There are many other cities in California that are much nicer. Check out Santa Rosa area or Ventura or the area around San Diego. Heck if you like the Big Valley perhaps Chico is more to your liking or even Sacramento area...

Dean trials, well I do plan on checking out nicer areas the reason I pick modesto is because my Girlfriend's whole family lives there but we only plan on staying there for a couple of months while we check out other places like the ones you stated.. I tried looking for job types on this site but im not having any luck! Sorry im new just joined today

okie dokies,,i have relatives in Modesto as well. But i only go to visit.

Indeed, jobs are difficult to find now in California unless you have certain skills. Medical is one area hiring now. Good Luck!!!
