Given how markets have been acting.. It's going to be horrid.. The cuts are pretty much guaranteed IMO ... lots of hopium was being smoked earlier this year.. and the feds i hear just raided those dispensaries too..

Glad the tax extension was banned.
Time for govts. to act w/ some sense.

How about cutting wasteful spending and only spend money that will make our state economy thrive for the long term? The political back and forth in our state legislature won't make this possible.

Easy to say but hard to do. How about you identify where the cuts are going to come from without cutting education and safety?

Here are some examples:

1. Cut legislative pay
2. Have state workers pay a little more into pension and benefits
3. Toss aside frivolous bills that cost millions of dollars
4. Give more control back to the local government to reduce redundancy and improve efficiency
5. STOP giving more raises in administrative pay
6. Make the climate a little more friendly for small businesses (but as a diehard liberal, you're against this)

That's the problem w/ America today.. People don't have the capacity to use their brains and think of better solutions ... Some do and are just too busy w/ their 'important' lives to do so.. so they throw their hands in the air and make intelligent problem solving seem like its impossible and resort to the miserable problematic status quo...

Items 1., 2., 5 might save a few million. (I work in county government-see item 4)

Item 4 is happening as we speak and basically shifts the financial burden to the Counties.

Item 6, while a good idea, is not a cut.
