Hey guys,

With all the warm weather we had this Winter, not including our current much needed rain, I noticed Spring flowers already blooming in a number of places. Here are a few recent shots from the Central Coast:

Cherry Blossoms flowering in Monterey:

Lovely photography! Yep, fruit and nut trees are blossoming here in the central valley. Blossom trail should be ready in a couple of weeks...well...maybe that's pushing it a bit.

Oh Man, it was awesome out there last year! Its going to be hard to beat that show. Hopefully these rains will really help some. We caught a double bloom with the Blossom Trail and the then nearby Sierra Foothills just outside Fresno. This was in early March 2010:

Would consider going to Daffodil hill this spring and taking some of your absolutely amazing pictures? My family goes there every year and my pictures suck compared to yours. Then you can post them, I can steal them and claim them for my own.

Again AMAZING. Thanks. Your house must be like a gallery. I am showing my wife your Pict's right now and she is loves them also.

Thanks MtnSurfer AKA Ansel Adams Jr.

Haha, thanks bulldogdad. Ansel was in a class all his own. But I do enjoy shooting in some of his favorite places like Point Lobos and Yosemite. He and Weston lived in the Monterey area in the 60s and had a gallery in Carmel.

As far as Spring goes I'm not sure where I'll wind up visiting this year. There are so many great places to go and my time is limited being super busy at work right now. But I've heard good things about Daffodil Hill and would like to shoot it some time.

All of my limes, lemons and 4 varieties of orange are suddenly in bloom. Man does it smell good out there.

Seeing those photos makes me smile and glow inside as I start my day.
They're a real reminder of what it's really all about.

Thanks, Derek

Thanks Twinkle Toes. Yes, I took these. Photography is a hobby of mine which my better half thinks I'm a bit nutty about. And she is probably right. But I enjoy it none the less.
