I'am curious to see how this increase in medicaid patients with this new reform will work out since many doctors have stopped accepting medicaid patients.

We already had available insurance coverage without the right to refuse in the state. It's costs are through the roof and so will Obama's be.

The $5000 fine for not having insurance will be fun.

The forced health coverage of those with 5 or more employees will fire the 5th or more employees or close many of such businesses.

Being forced in business to fill out a government form for every $600 or greater transaction will be a nightmare, will force more needless government employees and the $260 fines for each violation will kill businesses as well.

Why Obama wants us to be on par with third world nations is unknown to me.

This is a Republican health insurance plan, so I'm confused why so many conservatives object it. Romney passed a similar plan in MA, and back in '93 Republican Senator Dave Durenberger proposed a similar plan that was endorsed by high profile Republicans like Bob Dole.

Plus, it's great for the insurance companies that Republicans love to defend. How many new customers are they going to get, 30,000, 40,000?

Health insurance reform needed to be addressed and unfortunately, this is the best we can do right now given the current political landscape. I'm convinced that a single payer system like Germany has would be better, but the Senate couldn't even pass a public option so it had absolutely no chance.
