Hi,

I was wondering where the bio tech companies are in CA. My wife works in the bio tech/pharma sector and I work in the IT field.

We will be planning to move back to CA (from MA) some time next year.

Thanks....

Orange County and San Diego both have these fields covered. You can go on the California Employment web-site (sorry don't have the link handy) and get details of what companies, etc.

Genentech is located in South San Francisco. They also have a large campus near Vacaville.

San Diego has a large and well-established biotech cluster in the Torrey and Sorrento Mesa area.

I know Amgen in TO. I actually used to live in SB (might I mention, 1 block from the beach) but I found it to be too expensive. An opportunity came across and I moved to Boston but I don't think I am a east coast person.

Hopefully I can get some good work experience and land a gig in CA. I am in IT but its the wife I am more worried about.
