BBC News - Euro declines on French and Greek election results

"The euro fell against the dollar and the pound on Monday following weekend election results, which cast doubt on European austerity plans.
Pro-bailout parties in Greece performed poorly, while Francois Hollande won the French presidency, promising to focus more on growth.
The euro fell as low as $1.295, its lowest since January, later recovering to $1.305."

The more I think about it, the better off Germany will be to ditch this failed experiment of the Euro. Germany should start making the Mark again, peg the value of the Mark with the Euro for 30 days, at the end of 30 days, separate the currencies. The Mark will recover value the Euro will slide. Germany will be far batter off without the drag the Euro is having on there economy.

This. The Euro and the EU is, in my opinion, a failed experiment. Umpteen governments, umpteen languages, umpteen cultures, umpteen economies and working together as a harmonious whole? I don't think so.
