Hi everyone,

My family and I just bought a home in Jericho. Part of our decision was based on the highly regarded Jericho Elementary School(and secondary). Now we just found out that possibly we may be in the Underhill ID School district, not Jericho even though we bought on Orr Road? Can someone offer us some info on the two schools and how they decide who goes where?

Any input on either school would be great!

Thanks in advance,
Meg

Hi Meg:

Welcome to the neighborhood! I am not totally sure about the district line, but can reassure you that if you do end up with a student of the ID school that you will have the same great education that the Jericho Elementary offers. Our kids went to Jericho Elementary (we live on Packard Road) but many of their friends went to Underhill ID. The ID school is smaller but the teachers are awesome. You want to call the Chittenden East School District and ask them.

Didn't the listing sheet on the house mention the school districts? Your realtor should know the answer also!!

Best of luck. You will love the Jericho area.
