Hello All,

Does anyone know where the nicest subdivisions are in Lewiston, New York with houses around the $300 000-350 000 mark? We're looking to live on a street where our neighbour would be a 10-20 second walk compared to a 2 minute drive? Staying away from the rural/country streets where we would be all alone.

Also, as far as demographics in Lewiston - Are there many people in their late 20s-late30s? Does Lewiston or surrounding town offer any sports or leagues where we can go to to meet new people?

Thanks (as always)

WOW is this data off the mark, are you sure it is for Lewiston NY and not Lewiston North Dakota?

LMFAO at this one, try 40-50 inches per the US Weather Service. The Lewiston snowfall is nowheres near 117 inches per year - even the Buffalo airport is only 93 incher per the weather service - you would have to go to the southtowns to hit 117 inches of snow per year. Per the national weather service Lewison averages about 50 inches of snow per year. Link to Official Government Snow Data:

Another big N-O. This must be really really old data or for a different Lewiston than the one in NY State. The local share of the sales tax dropped from 4.5% to 4% before we even moved to the County. Erie County is still at 4.75% local, but if you live in Niagara and but a big ticket item in Erie you can still pay the Niagara County rate if the item is delivered or is a automobile

Note to self: Do not pull community stats from Realty USA's website (especially if donbuy is logged in )
I should've caught at least the snow totals. Sorry for sharing lousy data.

Lewiston has very few cookie cutter subdivisions, rather it has homes built upon regular streets in the village. Even the surrounding town is happily devoid of any large subdivisions. There are many roads in the town that although rural are heavily populated with homes within a few hundred feet of each other on both sides of the street

The Village skews older than the Town but there are many rec leagues for things like softball and volleyball. Also Lewiston is home to many festivals as well as being home to ARTPARK which offers a great summer season of free and paid summer concerts (from Jazz and Classical to Rock), plays and dance. Here is a link to ARTPARK which is located right along the Niagara Gorge within easy walking distance of anywhere within the village: Artpark: Western New York's Premier Destination for Music, Theatre, Family Fun

I was shocked that they would have such poor data, considering Location, Location, Location is their mantra.

Haha. That's okay- I get the picture! Perry Drive is exactly the type of street we are looking for! I feel better knowing it exists. We're hoping to get a bit closer to Center Street and/or parks on the other side of the Robert Moses Parkway but we're getting there!! THANK YOU

$350K will get you a MANSION just about anywhere in WNY. I don't think you care about taxes.

Lewiston is awesome if you have your type of income. Move there and enjoy the life that most in WNY only dream about. Toronto, Rochester, Cleveland, etc are all just day trips away. Buffalo is 30 minutes or more during bad weather. The traffic here is nothing like NYC. Population decline here has been extreme during the past few decades and the road system is built for TWICE the population.

Lewiston is an historic place dating back to pre-Revolutionary War if you are into history. Fort Niagara is one of the oldest structures in the USA dating back to the 1740's if I am not mistaken. French and Indian War & Revolutionary War base/battle site. Strategic location fought over for many decades. Very old homes in the area. you'll be blown away by the old houses.
