I am trying to reach Chinese community or any individual that can converse in Chinese in Boulder (preferably).

I am looking for a temporary place for my mom for about two to three weeks (from now to around mid September). My mom understands some English, but cannot converse. So, I would prefer if there is a family, or individual(s) around my mom's age (she is 62) that can interact with her, show her around little bit, possibly become a friend for her.

Please reply to this and give me a call (Gani) at 720-207-9066

G.

This is from a previous post of mind on the Chinese Community in the Denver Metro Area. I would suggest you contact the editor of the Colorado Chinese News, Wendy Chao. She has a good reputation and wants to help Chinese in Denver. An article on her excellent works in Denver is included:

For Information on the Chinese Community I would suggest looking at the Colorado Chinese News http://www.cocnews.com/
Call the paper. The info is on the first page in English, under the masthead.

It is published by a fine Chinese Family in Denver and you can get information from them. Her is an article about this family

This family is also the publisher of The Asian Pacific Journal, in English

In addition to what livecontent said, you may be able to find someone through the Asian Language Studies program right there at CU in Boulder. Phone number is: 303-492-6649.

Another source of Chinese speakers at Colorado University in Boulder is the Chinese Students and Scholars Association.

Someone changed the title of this post. I hope that person would read my post carefully. I wasn't JUST looking for an interpreter. I was looking for a temporary place to live with people that can interact with her (people that can speak Chinese).
By the way, thanks for the responses.
G.
