After experiencing some of the symptoms, I think I might have thyroid deficiency. Can someone recommend me a good Endocrinologist around Boulder/Louisville/Broomfield area? I called couple of them and they need doctor referrals or they don't have an appointment until mid next year. I think this is crazy. BTW, I don't have a family Physician but the good thing is I have a reasonably good insurance.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry I don't know any thyroid docs in your area, but here is a link to the "about thyroid" forum's best thyroid doctors. Lots of thyroid patients use it to find the best docs in their areas. Scroll down to the southwest section. If you join, you can ask more direct questions. Also you may just want to go to the forum's homepage and ask for doctors in your area, and plenty of people from Colorado always are there to jump in with their doc experiences. Good luck!

Did you ever find one? I'm moving to the area and am diagnosed as having Hashimotos/hypothyroidism and am looking for a doctor great with thyroid issues as well.

I could recommend mine but I'm in Longmont. If that works for you, her name is Irena Robinson at what was the Longmont Clinic but is now CU Health . I have antibodies for both Graves Disease and Hashimotos. So any doctor dealing with that is a good one in my book.

This is highly anecdotal, but I just have to throw this out there.

I used to have a form of auto-immune hypothyroidism (other family members have it too). After 6 months of acupuncture and traditional chinese medicine, my thyroid was normal. And it's been normal for going on 4 years.

So if this is something you are interested in or open to, research it and come to your own conclusion. Sadly, I don't know of any TCM doctors here in CO who specialize in endocrinology. I will gladly recommend the doctor who cured me to anyone, but he is located in NC.

Good luck and here's wishing everyone good health.
