Dog parks:
If you dont mind driving up to Wakefield (about a 20 min drive from Cambridge)
you could check out Bark Place, an off leash dog park in the Breakheart reservation. You walk your dog to the park and then they can go off leash and mingle with other dogs

Sheepfold in the Middlesex Fells is another great dog park (off leash)
its on the fellsway (just go north toward stoneham from the roosevelt circle exit.) (Will say Fellsway West , Winchester) (exit 33)
