We're moving to Boston in the first week of June and have
just started looking for housing. If you have any leads or advice,
we'd appreciate hearing about them. Here are our requirements:

location: Cambridge or Somerville
area: at least 700 square feet
size: 2 Bedrooms
close to public transit
strongly prefer in-suite laundry and dishwasher
prefer furnished apartment
cost: less than $1500 a month

We are nonsmoking, no pets. Though we do have an infant.

Thanks in advance for your help

Draw a line between Davis Square and Inman Square. Look north of there.

Also try around the 2000 block of Mass Ave. in North Cambridge., and then northwest either side.

In-suite laundry is extremely rare. Mostly found in basements.

Dishwasher, unheard of.

One more thing you have to stress when looking for an apartment is that you need it to be de-leaded. It's illegal for a landlord to rent you an apt with a child if the apt isn't de-leaded.

I'm not sure how much I would trust a furnished apt with an infant. I've heard horror stories about bedbugs and mold. Also, finding laundry in the unit under $1,500 a month is very near impossible. It may not seem like a long list of demands you have, but it will be tough to find something that fits all your requests.

Good Luck
