Can anyone recommend a tropical fish store (freshwater) in the Birmingham, Leeds or Pell City areas? I'm looking for local stores not big box retailers.

Thanks!

I wouldn't recommend Ed. Other than being overpriced, they do not take good care of their animals, fish included. I recommend Aquarium Imports for non-chain, and for chain stores I highly recommend Pet Supermarked in Vestavia. A distant third would be PetSmart in Hoover. The fish there are fine, but I don't like the employees.

I can vouch for Pet Supermarket, my favorite place to buy fish

There is also The Fish Bowl in Bessemer

There are a few aquarium installation businesses that also have fish. I would call them to ask who they would recommend in buying your fish from!
