Hello everyone! I am considering moving to Greater Baton Rouge area- preferably Gonzales/Prairieville. We liked the Pelican point golf community in Gonzales. I had one question about the home prices. I was quoted a price $ 360K for a 2400 sq ft (4bd/3bath) home, and according to Zillow's Zestimate its around 310K. How accurate is the valuation of Zillow in this area. I am a first time home buyer and never lived in this area before. Will I be overpaying at 360K or is it just the right price for the community.
I would really appreciate a feedback on this from someone who knows this area/community.

Seems right to me. My parent's house in Prairieville is worth about 300k and it's not in a golf community. Roughly 15 years old, 2200sq ft, and 4br 2.5ba.

My friend lives in Gonzales, he always tells about his area environment and the community. He is very talkative and always eat my brain to say about the local news of the area. Like this like that. So, no doubt it is a good place for reasonable prices.

I'm not sure if you ever made the move to Prairieville or Pelican Point, but I can tell you Zillow is not very accurate. The Pelican Point area for that sq footage is at least around 340,000. I am a local Realtor. Please contact me and I can help!
